PPGI Color Glazed Tile is a building roofing material made from Pre-Painted Galvanized Steel, formed by roll pressing and cold bending. The product uses high-quality galvanized steel sheets such as SGCC, SGCH, G550, DX51D as the base material, with polyester (PE) coating on the surface, achieving the integration of substrate anti-corrosion and surface decoration functions through a continuous production process.

This product combines the architectural aesthetics of traditional glazed tiles with the engineering performance of modern steel materials. It not only retains the visual effect of classical architecture but also has the characteristics of light weight, high strength and strong durability of metal materials. 2. Core Product Advantages

 

Corrosion Resistance

The product substrate is treated by hot-dip galvanizing process, with galvanized layer weight covering the range of 30-275g/m², forming a dense zinc-iron alloy protective layer. The surface polyester coating further isolates the penetration of corrosive media, and the double protection system ensures the long-term use stability of the product in complex environments such as industrial atmosphere and coastal high salt spray.

Weather Resistance

The PE coating is cured at high temperature and has excellent UV resistance and color retention performance. The product can be used normally within the temperature range of -40°C to +80°C. Verified by artificial accelerated aging tests, the coating adhesion, gloss and color difference changes all meet the requirements of GB/T 1766 standard.

Light Weight and High Strength

The mechanical properties of the steel substrate ensure that the product has high bending strength and impact resistance. 5. Production Process Description

 

Substrate Pretreatment

Select qualified hot-dip galvanized steel coils, after uncoiling and leveling, enter the cleaning process. Remove surface oil and oxide layer through alkaline cleaning, pickling and water washing to ensure coating adhesion.

Chemical Conversion Treatment

Form a dense phosphating film or chromating film on the clean steel surface to enhance the bonding force between the substrate and the coating, and improve the underlying anti-corrosion performance.

Coating Application

Adopt two-coat two-bake process:

Primer Coating: Roll coat special primer, cure in oven to form uniform primer layer

Top Coat: Roll coat polyester top coat, complete coating cross-linking curing through precisely controlled curing oven

Back Coat: The back of the steel plate is coated with protective paint simultaneously to prevent back corrosion during storage, transportation and use

Forming Processing

The coated color steel coil is fed into the cold bending forming unit according to customer required profile, and formed into glazed tile waveform through multi-pass rolling. The rolling speed and forming pressure are strictly controlled during forming to ensure no coating damage and accurate plate size.

Quality Inspection

Finished products undergo multiple quality inspections including appearance inspection, dimensional measurement, coating thickness detection, adhesion test, bending test, etc. Qualified products are labeled, packaged and prepared for delivery.

A: Under normal use conditions, the service life of PE coated products is 10-15 years. A: Minor scratches can be repaired by brushing with the same color special repair paint; when the scratch is deep enough to expose the substrate, rust removal treatment should be carried out first, then anti-rust primer should be applied, and finally top coat should be applied. For large-area damage, it is recommended to replace the damaged plate.
