Production Process Description
Surface Pre-treatment Galvanized steel coils undergo alkaline degreasing, rinsing and chromium-free passivation to remove rolling oil, dust and surface oxides. This creates a uniform activated base layer that ensures long-term coating adhesion and corrosion resistance.
Primer Coating & Curing A 5–8 μm epoxy primer is applied via precision roller coating, then cured at 210–230 ℃ in a horizontal oven. The primer layer acts as a corrosion barrier and improves interlayer adhesion between substrate and topcoat.
Finish Coat Application Polyester (PE) / SMP / PVDF topcoat (18–25 μm) is applied and baked at 224–245 ℃. Our double-coat double-bake line delivers consistent color retention, UV stability and weather resistance for roofing applications.
Forming & Quality Inspection Coated coils are roll-formed into roof tile profiles, then checked for coating thickness, gloss, color difference and T-bend adhesion before final packaging.

Packaging & Delivery

It ensures the product is delivered to you intact.
FAQ
Under normal use conditions, the service life of PE coated products is 10-15 years. The actual service life is affected by factors such as use environment, installation quality, maintenance conditions, etc. For coastal high salt spray areas or heavy industrial areas, it is recommended to choose products with higher galvanized layer and thicker coating.
Special waterproof fasteners should be used during installation, and fixing points should be set at the wave crest position; lap length is recommended to be no less than 150mm, and should be increased to 200mm when the slope is less than 15°; walking directly on the board surface is strictly prohibited, and special springboards should be used; cutting operations should use electric saws to avoid high temperature damage to the coating.
0.12-0.3mm is suitable for temporary buildings and simple warehouses; 0.3-0.5mm is suitable for ordinary factories and civil buildings; 0.5-0.8mm is suitable for large-span industrial factories and public buildings; above 0.8mm is suitable for buildings with special load requirements or high wind and snow areas.
60-90g/m² is recommended for general environment; 120-180g/m² is recommended for industrial areas and humid areas; 180-275g/m² is recommended for coastal areas. The heavier the galvanized layer, the better the anti-corrosion performance and the longer the product life.
Minor scratches can be repaired by brushing with the same color special repair paint; when the scratch is deep enough to expose the substrate, rust removal treatment should be carried out first, then anti-rust primer should be applied, and finally top coat should be applied. For large-area damage, it is recommended to replace the damaged plate.
