If you've built or run a commercial greenhouse, you probably know the same frustrations. Cheap steel starts rusting within three or four years, usually where the frame is bent, punched or welded. A heavy snow or strong wind can bend a low-quality frame, sometimes to the point of collapse. And when the material isn't consistent, crews end up with rework and scrap on site. From what we've seen across farms, builders and frame shops, we estimate that around 60% of the greenhouse renovations we've worked on are triggered by premature rust failure of budget steel frames.
We've been making and supplying steel coils for agricultural and flower greenhouses for nearly 15 years. Our coils have been used in projects worldwide, and several of our larger builds have been featured in professional farming and construction media. From small single-span tunnels to large multi-span flower facilities, the steel we ship holds up across all kinds of climates, helping owners cut long-term maintenance and replacement costs.
Built to survive humid, chemical-heavy growing spaces

Greenhouses are hard on steel. Constant high humidity plus regular fertilizer and pesticide applications slowly eat away at ordinary metal. Most budget coils yield frames and panels that show rust within a few years. Flaking rust doesn't just weaken the structure, either. It can also contaminate the clean environment your crops and flowers need.
Every coil we produce goes through full hot-dip galvanizing, so the steel carries a uniform zinc layer on both surfaces. In plain terms, that's a solid barrier against moisture and chemical corrosion. With a suitable zinc coating weight, frames formed from these coils can deliver 20+ years of service in normal inland growing conditions. For coastal sites or farms with heavy chemical use, we recommend upgrading to higher coating weights or galvalume - we'll help you match the coating to your site.
Take one example. In 2017 we supplied galvanized coil for a large flower greenhouse cluster in Shouguang, Shandong. When we checked in with the client in a recent follow-up, random sampling showed the zinc coating on the formed frames was still largely intact, with no widespread rust damage even after seven-plus years in service. Agricultural industry media later highlighted that project as a benchmark for durable greenhouse construction.

For the main frame, galvanized steel coil is the workhorse. It forms cleanly into tubes, purlins and support channels with a protective zinc layer from the start, so small fittings don't rust years before the main structure does.
For interior partitions or exterior cladding where you want durability plus a clean look, color coated steel coil works well. It comes in a range of colors and stands up to long-term sun and weather exposure.
For coastal sites or farms with heavy chemical use, galvalume (aluminum–zinc alloy coated) steel coil typically outperforms standard galvanized on large, flat panels exposed to the atmosphere. Because cut edges can be a weak point in condensation-heavy interiors, we pair it with proper edge protection or recommend it mainly for roof and wall cladding.
For large, standardized builds, PPGI and PPGL steel coil are very practical. Coating is applied at the factory, so you skip on-site painting and speed up construction, with a clean, consistent exterior finish.

Strong enough for snow and harsh winds

Extreme weather is the biggest worry for most greenhouse operators. Heavy winter snow or a sudden storm can destroy a poorly built frame in hours, wiping out an entire growing cycle and leaving a big repair bill.
The strength of a greenhouse starts with the steel it's built from. We supply high-strength, thicker-gauge coils that give structural designers the material properties to build wide, open-span greenhouses with fewer interior columns, helping frames handle heavy snow loads and strong winds. That leaves more usable space for planting beds, irrigation and growing equipment.
One of our clients in Northeast China learned this the hard way. Half of their old flower nursery collapsed during a heavy snowstorm in 2021. After they rebuilt using our thicker-gauge galvanized coil, a similar blizzard hit in 2024 and the new frame came through undamaged. They told us it was the first winter in years they hadn't spent stressing about snow damage.
Consistent coils make fabrication faster
Plenty of tube mills and fabricators tell us the same story: the material is slightly off, so gauge varies, connectors and clamps don't fit right, and crews end up grinding and adjusting on site for hours, dragging out the project and wasting good steel.
We keep tight control over gauge, width and coating weight during production, so every coil is uniform and predictable. Steel that's consistent from end to end forms into tubes and panels that fit most standard greenhouse connectors and fixtures. Based on feedback from hundreds of projects, our customers typically report around 20% faster on-site assembly and roughly 10% less material waste (internal estimates). For large greenhouse parks covering tens of thousands of square meters, that adds up to real labor and material savings.
Custom coil options for your exact project
No two greenhouse builds are identical. Crops, site conditions and local climates all call for different solutions. We keep production flexible so we can tailor coils to your project's needs, and we don't enforce strict minimum order rules for large agricultural projects.
We can adjust coil thickness, width and coil weight to your specifications. For extra-wide spans or heavy snow loads, we can upgrade to thicker gauges or higher-strength grades for added stability. We also offer higher zinc coating weights for especially corrosive environments, and can slit coils to custom widths to match your fabrication process.
Packaging is flexible too. We can arrange waterproof packing for long ocean shipments, or add custom branding and labeling if you need it.

Quality you can count on for global orders
When you source steel from overseas, consistent quality and smooth customs clearance are non-negotiable. Our coils meet widely accepted international standards and carry CE marking under the EU Construction Products Regulation (harmonized standard EN 10346), supporting smooth European market access. Every coil is fully inspected before it leaves the factory, and we welcome third-party inspections if you want extra verification.
We provide a full set of shipping and certification documents with every order, so customs clearance goes smoothly. All products come with a 12-month quality warranty. If there's a manufacturing-related issue, we'll work with you quickly on a solution, whether replacement or refund.
Reliable supply and support from start to finish
We keep plenty of stock for standard coil sizes, and our production capacity covers regular orders and large bulk projects. Even during peak procurement seasons, delivery times stay reliable.
We partner with established international logistics providers and support all common trade terms, so we can arrange shipping that fits your needs. Our team helps from your initial material selection all the way through post-delivery support, with multilingual assistance available.
If you're sourcing steel for a new greenhouse build or planning to renovate an older structure, reach out. We'll recommend material for your local climate, project size and growing needs, and we can send free samples so you can test the quality for yourself.
